It provides a wide range of social services, and recreational and educational programs and services in collaboration with civic leaders, elected officials, social service and community organizations.
Case Assistance: Thousands of poor, elderly and homeless of various ethnic backgrounds turn to the QJCC for counseling, legal and other supportive services.
Food Distribution: Every month we distribute Kosher food to more than 1000 needy families and deliver 320 Kosher Meals on Wheels to frail and homebound seniors.
Crime Prevention: We provide locks, window gates and other security devises for income eligible senior citizens. We work closely with the NYC Police Department to arrange security for institutions in Queens.
Assistance to the Homebound: We distribute lifeline communicators for use by seniors to summon help in case of emergency. Regular visitations, counseling and supportive services are also provided.
Cultural/Educational Programs: Free summer concerts for the entire community and events to enhance cross-cultural understanding.
Health Insurance: Families without medical coverage can enroll their children for free or low cost health insurance.
