Since our rebirth in 1980, Kaufman Astoria Studios (KAS) has established itself as one of the largest and most sophisticated film and television production centers on the east coast. As a full-service, turn-key facility, we are equipped to handle every conceivable size, style and type of production whether it be for film, video, commericals, music, sound, or studio photography.
KAS is the center of a bustling creative environment where shooting, pre-production, and post-production take place around the clock. We offer producers, directors and other industry professionals over 500,000 square feet of office and service space, long or short term, for budgets large and small.

We have been the long-time home of PBS's Sesame Street , and recent host to productions like The Manchurian Candidate, The Stepford Wives, the Golden Globe-winning Angels in America, and numerous independent.
